Geneva, February 2018
On the way to the 2018 World Figure Skating Championships in Milan, I stopped for a couple of days in Geneva. The first day, I walked and took the trams around the city; these pictures come from my walk/tram ride from my hotel to the United Nations Office at Geneva, which is located at the former League of Nations compound. Many international organizations and UN organs have their headquarters nearby in the district. My camera battery ran out while at the UN so I have no other pictures from Geneva. (The following day was rainy all day and I went to the Geneva International Motor Show.)

What's notable here is that oncoming traffic has a bypass lane but the other direction does not. Upstream of the camera position, there is a signal which stops westbound traffic to allow westbound trams (or buses) unimpeded access to the stop. When no tram is queued, car traffic has a green. There's an actuated pedestrian signal as well.
